That’s what the PAX Game Club is all about. Each month we pick one game to play through, and ask the community open-ended, thought provoking questions each week as the month progresses. At the end of the month, we cap things off with a streamed discussion from a rotating cast of some of the game scene’s most prominent players providing their own hot takes on what we’ve heard from the community over the course of the month.
THE ONLY THING BETTER THAN PLAYING GAMES IS PLAYING GAMES TOGETHER.
HOW WE CHOOSE GAMES
If we choose a game, it’s because we believe it’s a game worth not just playing, but thinking and talking about. We can’t promise each game we choose will appeal to everyone, but we do aim to make sure each game we select moves the medium forward in some way. Finally, this program is ultimately about the community, so we’d like to ensure that the games can be played by as many people on multiple platforms as possible. You can expect a lot of PC games, but most games featured will probably also have some level of cross-platform support.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Join: Sign up for our newsletter for weekly updates and prompts from the PAX Game Club. Sign up for the newsletter here.
Play: Stay tuned at the beginning of each month and pick up the game to play along. Don’t own the game already? You can pick it up anywhere you like! We’ll be sharing some convenient links to stores too. Note, if you click on a link and make a purchase, we may make a small commission.
- Discuss: Follow the conversation via our weekly prompts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The best part: there’s no cost to join and participate in the social discussions. Be sure to follow us and wherever you’re talking about the game, use #PAXGameClub to share with the community!
- Watch: At the end of month catch the livestream on our Twitch account to see a discussion between gaming community members and more!
